Carrot Halwa | Gajar Ka Halwa | Carrot Halwa Without Condensed Milk. Carrot halwa is a north indian dish, but still it can be found in south indian homes too. Carrot halwa was made with full cream milk.
Take a kadai, add ghee, 4 cashews and 8 raisins and fry for 1 min. Keep aside.
In a same kadai add 4 cup grated carrot and fry for 3 to 4 min.
Now Add 2 cup full cream milk.
Stir and cook on low fire till the mixture thickens. It may take about 15-20 minutes.
Now add 1 cup sugar. Mix it well.
Again cook the carrots for 30 minutes in a low flame until the halwa thickens. Add 1 tsp cardamom powder and all the dry fruits mix well. Take off the fire.
Carrot halwa is ready to serve. Serve it hot or cold as you like.
