Halkova Sweet Recipe | Maida Barfi, it’s one of the kids favourite sweet recipe. Easy and simple sweet recipe made with a combination of plain flour (maida), ghee and sugar. Halkova recipe, palkova recipe or maida barfi is crisp taste and mouth-melting texture.

Maida Burfi or Halkova Sweet Recipe

 1 cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
 2 cups Maida
 2 cups Powdered Sugar
 ½ tsp Cardamom Powder

Take a large kadai add 1 cup ghee and 2 cup maida. Roast on low flame.

Keep roasting, after 5 minutes the ghee is absorbed by the madia.

Continue to roast and the madia will turn frothy.

After roasting for 10 to 15 minutes, the maida will turn into a silky smooth paste.

Turn off the stove, transfer to the bowl allowing it to cool.

Mix using a spoon until the mixture reaches room temperature.

Add ½ tsp cardamom powder.

Now add 2 cup powdered sugar (in batches).

Mix well until the mixture is well combined. Make sure to add sugar only after the mixture is cooled completely.

Transfer the mixture to a tray lined with butter paper. Smooth the surface on the top.

Keep it in refrigerator for 30 min.

After 30 min, unmould the burfi and start to cut into pieces. Tasty Maida Burfi , Halkova or palkova recipe is ready.
