Hot & Sweet Syrup | Side Dish for Dosa | Masala Syrup | Spicy Jaggery Syrup | Spicy Sugar Syrup. Unique side dish for dosa, chapathi, puri. Spicy and sweet.

For jaggery syrup, take a pan boil 1/2 cup water then add 1 cup jaggery.

Boil for 3-5 min or until it melts completely. Keep a side.

Take a kadai add 2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp pepper, a pinch of asafoetida and fry for 2 min.

Now add jaggery syrup, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp thick tamarind extract and salt to taste.

Boil 5 to 10 min. Switch off the stove. Filter this mixture to get the masala syrup.
It good to be served with dosa, chapathi, puri.
