Thekua Recipe | Thekua Recipe With Jaggery | How to Make Thekua. Traditional and unique deep fried sweet recipe made with wheat flour and jaggery. It belongs to bihari cuisine and also used as prasad and served to gods especially during the chhath puja. This recipe will give you crispy and crunchy exterior with a soft interior.

Ingredients

 ½ cup Jaggery grated
 1 tbsp Water
 1 ½ cups Whole wheat flour
 2 tbsp Rava
 1 tsp Fennel seed
 ½ tsp Cardamom powder
 3 tbsp Dry coconut (grated)
 3 tbsp Ghee
 Oil

Directions

Take a pan add ½ cup jaggery and 1 tbsp water, heat until all the jaggery melts. Keep aside.

Take a large bowl add 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour, 2 tbsp rava, 1 tsp fennel seed
½ tsp cardamom powder, 3 tbsp grated dry coconut, 3 tbsp ghee.

Now add hot jaggery solution and prepare dough.

Make small balls from the dough, flatten lightly with your palms, and make patterns on the pressed dough using a fork. You can make any shapes you like.

Heat oil in kadai and drop the thekua in medium hot oil, fry till golden brown.

Thekua ready to serve.

Cooking Directions Step by step
